I’ve been so happy recording my songs, each session becoming a delightful exploration of my creativity. Writing and recording take me to another world, where melodies and lyrics flow effortlessly, allowing me to express emotions that often remain unspoken. But I’d say the song “Once” has a special meaning to me, resonating with memories and experiences that shaped my journey. The image of snowflakes dancing during a winter evening walk immediately takes me back to college days in Pennsylvania, where every flake seemed to whisper tales of joy, friendship, and bittersweet nostalgia. On a lighter note, a friend played “Once” in her car, and her young boys immediately renamed it “The Head-Bonking Song,” which brought a joyous laughter that echoed throughout the vehicle. I guess the beginning of the song could do that to you, with its infectious energy that prompts spontaneous movements and smiles. And I loved singing a duet with myself, embracing the harmonies that come alive, as well as the intricate guitar solo that adds layers of depth to the piece. It captures a moment in time that feels both fleeting and eternal. Link to “Once”
